Our Drone
Our drone was originally named Crazyfile 2.0 - Bitcraze. We decided on naming our drone "Reign" because all group members liked it and thought the name suited well. Our drone team is unique because we have a healthy respect for each other's viewpoint and always open to ideas from one another. Another way our team is bright and unique is that we celebrate each other's successes and give assistance when one member needs it. Our drone team may be unique, but it will never be as unique as the artificial intelligence we call Reign! Reign is unique because he is a unmanned flight vehicle. Emphasis on umanned vehicle, there is no one sitting on the drone pushing buttons and using a steering wheel. This is, honestly, a life-changer. Do you know how much good can drones be used for? LET ME ANSWER THAT FOR YOU. A LOT. A LOT OF GOOD CAN BE DONE JUST BY USING A DRONE FOR THE RIGHT PURPOSES. To just give you a GLIMPSE into the tremendous of good drone can be use for, we will leave a link to an article right here. Please go and educate yourself on what drones are being used for today. Drones have been described as the "next big thing", so we advise you to go and get yourself involved in the drone community. Trust us when we say that, the drone community is bigger and bigger as you read this page!
How Are Drones Being Used In Society?
Wow, very interesting question. Drones are being used, like I said before in very wonderful, life-changing ways, but what YOU might want to know is how can a piece of metal with no soul be helpful to daily life? To that I say, even though it has no soul, it can be very useful to our everyday life. Here is another article listing types of reasons of how/why drones are used to help you, me and basically everyone in the this world we call home. I will talk briefly about some of the reasons I personally find interesting and fascinating, but if you want to all the 14 reasons that are mentioned in that article, I recommend clicking the link provided. One of the reasons I personally was where the article mentioned how drones can help endangered animals. The article states: "A recent $70,000 grant to the OI Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya has meant that it can monitor the last four remaining northern white rhinos and help protect them from illegal poachers." ISN'T REALLY COOL THAT DRONES ARE MONITORING WHITE RHINOS AND PROTECTING THEM FROM DANGER? I think it is, if drones can protect white rhinos think of all the other endangered animals they can protect? That was my favorite reason on the list, but check out the link to find out your favorite!

What Actually Is A Drone & What Is The Purpose Of This Project?
You might be thinking: "What in the world is a drone?" LET ME ANSWER THAT FOR YOU. YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO TO GOOGLE AND LOOK IT UP BECAUSE I KNOW THE ANSWER. Drones are more formally known as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). Essentially, a drone is a flying robot. Drones are more formally known as unmanned aerial vehicles. Essentially, a drone is a flying embedded systems working with GPS. The whole project started out as taking a look back into history including WWII, refugees & older technology. We then compared new and old technology. We then researched the many usages of drones and how they are used in today's society. With all of our knowledge that we gained throughout this project, we are hoping to let people have a different view on drones and how they will soon be making a big impact in our society.
